An amazing deadlift to win it. Incredible strength.

Why level of USA lifters is so low?

Our Level is so low because most US lifters don't lift in IPF.

Jeff Hackett.

Is this actually true.

I would have thought that USAPL/IPF was by far the biggest Federation in the US.

Two reasons:
1. Most US lifters do not lift in IPF.
2. Many of the best US lifters did not want to travel to India.

i think you will find the best US lifters went to the world games and so missed the worlds

Interestingly enough, when IPF lifters move to the WPC/WPO they dominate. Reply?

I will say that the Russians are the ace outfit when it comes to powerlifting right now, but the US would have performed much better had some of the top lifters competed. Honestly, unless suspended, the best lifters from every other country lift in the IPF. In the US, the talent is spread out amongst many federations. To say how these lifters would fare in the IPF is dubious as well...the standards are so different than the multi-ply feds...equipment, weigh-ins, judging, etc. Plus, I do think the USAPL is committed to being drug-free, so it would be tough to run a cycle and try to get away with it, even from within the national fed. So the Russians would probably still dominate (not to say they are juicing).

Wow, how old is Floyd exactly? Impressive lifts all around.
