IPF Tables all Technical Proposals

IPF member nations voted to table all technical proposals at the federation's General Assembly Meeting which took place on November 1 in conjunction with the Powerlifting World Championships in New Dehli, India. The vote is being described as a statement that the federation wants continuity in its rules.

Some had thought that the proposal to do away with medical exemptions for those who could not lock out a bench press would be successful.

If they want continuity in the rules, they should have considered the proposal to do away with the "no belly bench" rule. I've never seen a rule so inconsistantly enforced.
