In Europe, to have a world championship meet, all you have to do is find a few small countries the size of Rhode Island and you have a world meet. You can fit most of the competing European countries inside the state of Texas. It is true that you can have a world meet inside the US and it will be more diverse than a small meet in Europe with 10 countries. The USPF had a gift when the APC pulled out of the GPC and went to the WUAP. We will see what they do with it.

Powerlifters have short memories. The same leadership still exists in the USPF that got them booted out of the IPF. You can wrap a ducks knees and put a belt on it but it will still quack.

What's so wrong trying to raise the USA team morale before the the World Championships? Nothing!!!

I wan't to start this off with a giant THANK YOU to all the multi volenters that have worked so hard to bring this togather thank you for all your time and work,With out you and all you'r time and support there would not be a Worlds.I am sure by now you must be thinking what happend where did we do wrong. Please do not judge all the lifters from the ungreatfullness of a very small minority of lifters they seem to cry the loudest and its to bad that they get there voice herd,some times i wonder if they even comprehend the word volenter.You guys have done a wonderfull job of putting this togather. Its not like doing a two day meet my wife and myself have been there,this is the Worlds.There is not a person out there that can start to understand the stress that you guys must under. From the bottom of my hart thank you so very much for everything. And i know that i am talking for the majority of the lifters.Again THANK YOU. PS To all the countries dont foreget the World Buffet Challenge. Powereating contest at its best who will be the one to win the golden plunger aworde and bring it home?

Nice comment about the leadership in the USPF. The problem is powerlifting has a hard time with paradigm shifts. They cannot accept change and nothing has changed in the USPF. Now they want to be like the IPF.

I’m a husband, father and business owner that works hard to provide a good life for my family. Powerlifting is my escape from the rigors of life. It’s a time where I can get together with like-minded people to push myself, make new friends, have fun and enjoy a few laughs. Do I agree with every decision the USPF makes? No, but I’ll always be appreciative of how hard the many volunteers work to host these events. I lifted in my first USPF meet in 1986 when I had hair and a small waist. I never imagined that 23 years later I would be lifting in World’s as a bald middle-aged fat man. Life is good. Thanks everyone for making this event a reality. Oh yeah, Tawzer, I already cleared a spot on my mantel for the Golden Plunger.

it's hard enough to work and lift for me as it is, i couldnt imagine maintaining a day job while assisting in the machine that is the USPF, or any other well run powerlifting fed. it's ridiculous. mad props.

Hey Tronske the Golden plunger Aworde is finished and it looks like a World class troghy.I think when people see it they are going to want to win it.I have showen it to some people. Thier reply was i would not mind comeing to L.V and trying to win it myself.We are also going to donate two medals for a 2nd and 3rd place just to make it little more fun.We are going to try to make it to the Worlds on thursday so we can put it on display and then i wont be tempted to keep it for myself LOL. See you then i am not hard to find. I am a big ugley Prussian with a big smile.See you then brother.

When will the new lifter roster be out? Looking forward to haveing more competition. To the staff your doing a good job thanks(USPF for ever)

a WBC signup sheet needs to be posted under the trophy, as well as hand outs for general rules, when, where, hahahahaha

WBC powereating challenge im there.cant wait to see what the golden plunger aworde looks like.

We would have loved to be there in Vegas with all of you, but the time was just too short for us to plan it in.

Total poundage of food. No weight classes or divisions...all open. Each plate gets weighed. $5.00 participation fee and all money goes to the winner. Friday evening after the lifting. An event flyer is being prepared. Sign-ups will be at the WPF.
