True but for Fedosienko's wilks score to count, he must pass the drug test so perhaps there's more to it than meets the eye??

If it wasn't for Fedoseinko failure on drug tests I would have voted for him but Jaroslaw Olech have proven consistently year after year passing drug test after drug test while still given pound per pound outstanding performance. I think in terms of raw genetics Olech is the most impressive powerlifter alive today if not of all time.

Agree that Olech is #1 today easily. All time: Sivokon, Coan, Bridges, Gant may still have the edge over Olech.

If Olech stays healthy he could actually push that squat mark up a little more and his bench he definitely has been throwing up big numbers from what I understand.

So if he can get easy openers, I think Olech may get close to 2010 lbs.

Which is insane.

Coan and I think Sivokon all tested positive for roids so I would put Olech ahead of all of those. Gant on the other hand probably was clean. He might stack up to Olech.

i dont think this topic asked whether or not you thought someone was clean or "on". it asked who would be best lifter at worlds. And without any doubt that would be fedosienko. and i could be wrong, but i dont remember sergey failing tests, just others on the russian team.

Fedosienko tested positive at Europeans in 2005........

Drug free or it doesn't count....period

So all the others failed but not this guy...oh, ok...maybe its just all "behind the neck presses"
Please.....

I'm going to agree with the previous comment; however, I also recognize that drug free or not is not the topic of the poll.

Clean/Not Clean would be another poll altogether and considering most 'professional' athletes use some form of performance enhancing drug.

Whatever the case, juice or no juice, all of the lifters in the poll will put up incredible numbers.

What about Inaba...

olech is my hero...

If this poll was 8 years ago I would have said Sivokon. He was eons ahead of his time. It has taken everyone, including Olech and Fedosienko, a very long time to catch up to the numbers (wilkes points) he used to put up. And that was with gear from 10 years ago. Sivokon used to routinely beat Olech by very large margins. Probably the most balanced lifter. His training personal records were 705 squat, 502 bench, 705 deadlift at 148 pounds. As of today... Olech is the man.

Sivokon was a very good lifter, and had great form as well.

But just like Coan he was a cheat.

Both got caught repeatedly when competing in supposedly drug free organisations and should be in Hall of Shame, not Hall of Fame of Powerlifting.

If you want to play in the IPF, then play by their rules.

And if you get caught, don't cry about legacy.

PASSING A DRUG TEST MEANS YOU CAN PASS A DRUG TEST NOT THAT YOU ARE DRUG FREE.

but I would say the probability of someone who is drug free increases the more drug tests they pass and that certainly applies to Olech especially given that drug tests get tougher and tougher.

Maxim Barkhatov is the man !!! He is the next Ed Coan !!!
