After meeting Jim Hoskinson back in April I can say that he is a great guy. Congrats on the win bro. He used that meet in April to qualify for nationals and did an amazing job. I was happy I got to see him lift earlier since I could not make it to California for this.

I think that it's really cool that they got Napolean Dynamite to spot on the right side.

Didn't even notice that. That's funny as hell.

Not sure who that kid was,but after Ed Koo did his crash with 705 on the other platform with my Elieko plates, I look close at how the loader/spotters were doing their job. Turns out the kid was on top of things. He cranked on the collars so the weights were tight, and was getting the plate counts right the first time. He also stayed with the weights.
When I spoke to Steve's wife to point out that he was doing a good job, I kept thinking he reminded me of someone! (Looks can be deceiving in this sport.) Whoever he is, he did a great job.
Also, when I spoke to Ed and he found out those were my weights he did his World Record "Good Morning" with, he said he was sorry for dropping the weights! Ed Koo is one class act of a guy. I hope he's better soon.

Lance Karabel, is a different issue. That guy lifted with great form and looks to be able to up his squat in the future.

Very impressive.

A bit Russian-esque or Kirkish TBH.
