Curd is the man!

Why couldn't he get more?

That was a sweet bench. Although I am a USAPL snob and like the start command, it was a solid pause, strong press, and a clean lockout. Nice work man.

NICE LIFTING CURD!!! You better put up a 300+kg bench at my meet on July 18th.

His t-shirt was too tight and he lost the groove. Maybe he needs to go to some seminar and learn how to dial in his t-shirt.

(pssst: when it's raw and you miss, the weight was just too heavy that day. There's no other reason, so you don't have to ask.)

He certainly had more in him than that opener. Did he go up too much for his 2nd? Did he hurt himself? Why he didn't get more is a reasonable question.

By the way, even raw you still have a groove. Being out of the groove still hurts your bench, just not nearly as much as with a shirt.

And about the video of him "benching" 600 lb. Was the purpose of that video to show he couldn't do it?

that was an explosive 501 opener.as ray said he definitely had more in him and raw or equipped, you have a powerline that you need to stay in. and as far as the 600 goes , it was a good working set , but three reds for the spotters hands being all over it.

Really Ed? What else can you teach me about raw benching? Don't you know who I am ?

"Don't you know who I am ?"

Jim Ray, you're joking, right? Do people really say this seriously?

Jim, I certainly know who you are. You bench a lot more than I do, and know a lot more about benching than I do. All I was saying is that form matters for raw benching too, just a lot less than with a shirt. I didn't mean to offend :)

Of course I was serious - that's why clicking on the word, "am" played a Bugs Bunny wav file.

Sheesh...what a maroon ....

Ed, we're cool.
