Dave Tate Releases Raising the Bar
Submitted by Staff on May 29, 2009 - 9:50am.
EliteFTS founder Dave Tate has released his newest book, Raising the Bar. Tate started EliteFTS in 1998 with no money out of a spare bedroom. The company has since grown into one of the most influential in the industry.
In the book, Tate tells his entire story, warts and all. From a troubled childhood, passed off from one special education program to another and labeled “stupid” and “learning disabled,” to the pitfalls of success, Dave takes the reader through the entire experience, demonstrating and teaching the strategies he’s used throughout his life to prepare, perform and prevail in even the most hopeless situations imaginable.
Billy Mimnaugh reviews the book at Outlaws: "I got it yesterday and read it in one sitting.I thought it was really good. One of the better sports/motivational books Ive read, not quite as good as Bill Romanawskis ,but a close second.I love reading Daves stuff because his life and his love of lifting[and his injuries] are a lot like mine[my childhood was different, but we both looked at stuff that happened to us and came to the EXACT same conclusions].
If your into reading its definately worth getting. Its an easy read and a quick read but has stuff in there that will really make you think about life and training, not too sound too corny."
