$1,000 if You can Out-Pull Chuck Fought

Meet Director Mike Maxwell is offering $1,000 to anyone who can out-deadlift Chuck Fought at the IPA Iron House Classic on April 19. Fought (308) will be competing in the event in the deadlift only division. The cash is available to lifters who compete in any weight class.

Maxwell: "Figured we might as well have some fun and see if anyone can give him a run for my money!"

Fought's best deadlift is 900 pounds.

The Iron House Classic will be held in Columbus, Ohio.

Does it count if he bombs?

If I was there I'd offer Fought $500 to pull less than me. If everyone did that, Fought would make a fortune ($500 X number of lifters) and everyone else would make $500 each - lol!

I would love to see this happen!

Is he looking to pull more than 1000 or something? Why would you offer someone money to beat a guy he has already outpulled by 100 pounds?

ok i have never got any email from anybody inviting me to this show also i am also doing a deadlift only meet april 5th in england . Andy bolton

whats in it for chuck? if he loses the other guy gets a check but if he wins he gets.....vogelpohl staring him down?

lol.. Andy said huh?????

I think Andy is lifting in the WPC South East of England championships. I think this would be a bit short notice for Andy, why not go head to head later in the year..

Andy, I sent you a message from the Contact Us portion of your website. Apparantly you did not get the message. I realize this is short notice but figured you train all year around as we all do and that you might be able to make it to the US for this meet since I was offering to pay towards your air fare and all of your hotel stay. This is NOT an atttempt to stir up shit or create more drama in our already over-dramatic sport, just thought it would be cool to have the sports 2 top deadlifters on the same platform.

Unlike the Anonymous pussies that will post only negative comments, I respect the sport and the hard work and dedication it requires and want to push the sport forward.

If Andy can't make this comp then... Aren't the WPC Worlds being held in England this year? Why not get Chuck Fought to come over for that comp. It'll be around November so plenty of time to get ready.

It's a great idea. Isn't this how powerlifting originated? They'd have guys do feats of strength, and they'd challenge people from the crowd to try beating them. Over time it developed into powerlifting. This is similar with a challenge to other powerlifters.

Can it be a two-man deadlift? That's the only way I'd get close to pulling what Chuck does. :)

so theres only 4 guys currently pulling 900 or better- Bolton, Benni Mag, KK,and Fought.

Looking forward to seein what bolton and fought both pull in the following weeks regardless of whether its in the same meet

BOLTON IS THE BIGGEST!!!...lol

ya and word on the street is that fought is walking around at 275-280 and still pulling large

I miss the big stage at the arnold and lifting against the best here is my email address andybolton8@hotmail.co.uk give chuck my best we will go head to head one day soon.andy bolton

Since Bolton can't do it someone should try and pay Konstantinov's airfare...

Imagine a deadlift only show with FOught, Konstantinovs, Boltong and magnusson? Holy shit i think i just wet my pants

Is it pound for pound??????

To make this fair and very interesting. Go off of a coefficient for each lifters body weight. Give the smaller guys a chance at the change! If they are advertising all weight classes....might not be a bad idea.

Misha K. would also probably be a nice invite.

Why? This is about deadlifting 900lbs or more. Who cares what a 165er or 181er pulls. The idea is to get the guys that deadlift the most on the platform at the same time.

Thanks Andy. I will send you an email.

You took the words right out of my mouth ha

Ok. Let's make it more interesting!

$500 to the highest co-efficient Squat and $500 to the highest co-efficient Deadlift at the Iron House meet.

We will try to get these up to $1000 with sponsorship.

The $1000 out-deadlift Fought competition is on as well.

Bonus: Any 2 women that can out-pull Fought can claim the $1000 as well. No gear for the women other than a thong. Weight limit for each woman is 130 lbs and must look hot in a swim suit. Nate Strong this would eliminate you from the competition! Joe Riddle you are out as well.

What if I can out bench his deadlift???? haha, Fought is a sissy, thanks for inviting anyone to out bench me Maxwell, you dick.

Just kidding
Matt Wenning
Team Xtreme

Wenning, benching is gay...which must be why you are good at it!!

I'm trying to avoid an entire flight of bench ATTEMPTS!

You would look good in a thong for the deadlift!

What about Gillingham? He's close to 900. He'd get to use a deadlift bar too.

Best idea I ever heard...

Acording to IPF rules id guess he would get a 2year suspension for doing such a stunt. But it would be nice to see him deadlifting there!

No one cares if a fat ass can lift double his body weight! A guy who weighs 198 pulling 800 is a far better lift.

Which one of their rules would he break?

Are you sure? Some IPF guy out there correct me, but I thought you were only suspended if you competed in another (READ: Non-tested) fed's Nationals or world's. Also, I don't think this is a Pro/AM event, so Gilly wouldn't be breaking any (whatever they are) rules about professional competitions outside the IPF. Also, Gilly lives in Minnesota, the meet is in Ohio, it's a long drive, but not that horrible. Somebody should send him an invite

I would REALLY like to see a 450lb man pull 900 LOL

Good luck with that

Mike are these prizes open only to full-meet lifters?

5 over 900.
Andrey Malanichev pulled over 9 at the cup of titans weighing around 280.

And yes, a sub 200lb man pulling 800lbs is MUCH more impressive than a 300 pound man pulling 900.

Sounds good to me, how many 181 deadlifters have you got so far?

everyone forgets this dude is only 23 years old and is number one all time at 308 and pulls 900 this guy will one day have the all time total record

Both are 600 over bodyweight. The 200lb guy would win on Wilks formula but not by much.

google Mark Henry and you will!

This is a great idea! I love it.

I say someone should send an invitation to Valantin Dikul from Russia and see how he does with this challenge!!

first chuck wouldn't do that even if u gave him a billion, its all about the stats not the weight of your wallet.

in the words of chuck vogelpohl
"get your weight up!!!"
