This guy is so freakin' strong, it's really amazing. I saw him at Teen-Junior Nationals last year and he can definately do some amazing things in the sport if he stays with it. I certainly hope he does!

You KNOW full well you just opened a big can of "really ignorant" with that veiled remark. Tell us what you really meant to say.

You can look up whther or not if they drug test and THEN ammend your post to reflect your new found intellect.

Give the man beast some props, I mean, be for real dawg ! I bet you think that Obama was on drugs too because he won by a convincing margin too !

Peace

That dude has some powerfull wheels on him!

that is crazy strong. wish him well at the regionals in a few weeks then onto the state meet. If you guys ever get a chance to go the THSPA State meet...wow...

Sad thing is many lifters don't continue to powerlift after high school...

Last year I judged a regional meet and asked a kid if he was to continue lifting in various feds closest to him and he had no clue there were feds outside of high school. He thought this was only in high school.

Actually i was just curious thats all...

No can of worms.

The guy obviously dosn't use based on his physique

It is comforting to see the future of our sport is in good hands.

Gratton: Yes, he plays (played) FB
THSPA tests at the state championships. But, TX students who are involved in any extracurricular activities are subject to random drug testing throughout the year. It's not mandatory, but most big districts are doing it.

NO JUST THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR HIM

just a taste of true god gifted talent that can be amplifed by weight traing every body that is strong is not on drugs or even think of taking them that kid is probley reading all of these comments that u guys are writing about him and really dont under stand why some of u guys would say things like that about him ......he probly think nothing is abnormal about the lifts that he do because it just comes to him naturally...more talent will invade this sport as time go on ,and more records will be broken when true genetics arrive on the platform in years to come...ps I hope this kid stick with it.

Jason Wisner was a beast himself.

He is one huge kid! Great lifting!

I couldn't agree more with the above statement. Some people just have it and others don't. Some can take all the hormones they want and never come close to the muscularity or strength of a natural with elite genetics.

Please excuse my generalizations, but for the most part, all of those competing in powerlifitng have SHIT for genetics. Downright weren't blessed with anything genetics. I could list tons of top lifters, but I like to follow the thumper rule. I don't think many will argue this. Imagine if Bo Jackson powerlifted? Warren Sapp? Herschel Walker?

Really strong kid,

Fatter than all hell though. Dude is like a marshmallow.

That's a pretty naive statement. MANY MANY enormous pro football players use steroids, it's not like they're just all extremely genetically gifted and they're all huge, strong, and fast without serious training and supplementation. And there isn't a natural freak in the world who had better hormonal genetics than someone who knows what they're doing on a cycle of steroids. Steroids bring your body to hormone levels many times higher than the highest possible natural levels by even the horniest of teenagers. Good genetics for lifting are a wonderful thing, but don't kid yourself, drugs in concert with great training, diet, recovery, and sleep, can bring the human body FAR beyond its natural limits. Anyway, this kid is clearly a fantastic lifter and I'm certainly not accusing him of taking steroids, but that statement was simply naive.

This is mostly true in the USA where the best athletes go to NFL, NBA or MLB to follow the money. The next level of athletes may go into Olympic sports (track and field, etc). Very few top level athletes go into powerlifting.

In other countries, strength sports are higher on the pecking order so they attract better quality athletes - look at the quality of European WSM competitors. These countries may have more top athletes in powerlifting.

With many countries having populations in the tens of millions, all of them will have great athletes, it's just a question of how important powerlifting is in that country - usually not very important if it is even known at all.

i lift with him on the team he benched that 500 with a ripped katana that ripped down the side when he was putting it on hahah

u guys better watch out

okay. I lift with this kid every day (not the same weight of course). But this kid goes one hundred and ten percent every day. I play football with him and am really good friends.
Things to know:
-He doesn't use drugs
-he is an outstanding person
-does great in school
-he is not fat. In fact he is only about 22% fat. (i know because he has to go to the local gym and get those reciept things that tell you all that)
-he plans to squat 1000 by the time he graduates

unfortuately he does not plan to keep powerlifting after high school. I have tried to convince him to keep going with it and its his ticket through college. But Bro knows that all this lifting is slowly hurting his body, and does not want to be impared by the time he is 60.

i support lorenzo and so does the whole community of burkburnett texas

lorenzo your still a freakin teddy bear! dirty lo #70!!
