Andrey Malanichev Photo-Shoot Clips

Here is video of a November photo-shoot with Russian superheavyweight Andrey Malanichev in Moscow. It will be published on Ironworld Magazine's website, www.ironworld.ru, at the end of January. In 2008, Malanichev squatted 1,014 pounds, deadlifted 903, and totalled 2,568 pounds in the IPF affiliated, RPF. The IPF World Record for the squat is American Shane Hamm's 1,008 pounds, for the deadlift is Hungary's Tibor Mészáros' 899 pounds, and for the total is Brian Siders' 2,601 pounds.

The World Record for the squat is held by Shane Hamman, perhaps? I've never heard of Shane Hamm.

He doesn't really look as big as a superheavyweight to me. I would guess about 230lbs. from the photos. I'm sure he is but just doesn't look very big.

Supers are over 275 pounds in the IPF.
