APC Updates Card Sales

The APC has updated its membership card sales numbers. Since August, the federation reports sales of five membership cards (one of which was to federation President LB Baker). The federation has put $100 in card sales into its Athlete's Fund during that time. The money from that fund is used to help pay lifter's travel expenses to the federation's World Championships. In 2008, the federation paid out a total of $7,450 to five lifters for their travel to the WUAP World Championships in Lauchhammer, Germany.

Its nice that the president buys a card but is it really news when it happened 3 months ago?

Stick a fork in them. They are done. THey had a great idea behind the federation but egos once again got in the way. Just join the USPF div 2 or the APF. NO need to have ANOTHER local meet putting on it's own sanction.

Hey thats great. There are certainly no egos in the uspf or apf.

what is it about the APC that rubs you guys the wrong way.what there trying to do is what i think every power-lifting fed should strive to do.
I'm planning on lifting there this year they put on great meets and have great judges.
i remember when i first started lift in competition the same thing was said about the uspf, ipa. they've all turned it around since then.

i am so over this negative shit that's saturated powerlifting the past years.

The APC runs the organization with everything in the open. All the card sales and who bought them are listed on the web site as well as the pay outs. All the money is accounted for. What other fed does that? A teenager, a master lifter, and an open lifter all share the proceeds equally. What other fed pays travel expenses for the lifters? I have never competed in the APC but my wife and I will be there this year.

I think it was just because the USA has a million feds. The best thing the APC had going for it was the GPC and they pay travel fees. I don't understand why they dropped their GPC membership just because of one problem.

Now we have to pay a federation fee + the meet fee to enter one meet. I thought it was silly when SSA did that. WHy not just go under another sanction so the lifters don't have to pay more and more money? SSA would have fit perfectly in the IPA. APC would fit perfectly with the USPF div 2 or even the APF.
