Brian Siders & Mike Hara out of Arnold Bench Bash

Brian Siders (shw) and Mike Hara (181) have declined invitations to compete in the IPF Titan Pro Bench Bash which will be held in conjunction with the Arnold Classic on March 6-8 in Columbus, Ohio. Adam Mamola (181) and Kevin Mayer (242) replace them on the six man and two woman American team. No word has been given on why neither will not compete.

Joining Mamola and Mayer on Team USA are Danny Thurman, Dennis Cieri, Tim Anderson, Scott Lade, Jennifer Thompson, and Christy Newman.

The U.S. team faces strong competition from the European team. Europe is represented by Denmark's Anton Kraft, Germany's Markus Schick, Poland's Jan Wegiera, Swedish lifters Fredrik Svensson, Marcus Hirvonen, and Johhny Wahlqvist, Germany's Tamara Althaus, and Poland's Justyna Kozdryk.

The Asian team will field an incomplete team, lacking one of their heavyweight men and a woman.

Siders and Jason Jackson are out from what I've heard, unknown why.

Marcus has been lifting regularly and has done the World bench every year for the last 4 years

Get well soon guys! Markus Schick is a a monster bencher who hold records in several feds. He will be a tough one to beat. Go Team USA!!!!!!
