Looks like a health club from the outside.....however back in the corner there is a full padded powerlifting area, complete with 1500lbs. of rubber bumpers, chalk bin and chains.

There is chalk,and a very small powerlifting spot. I didn't see that much weight however, and most of their plates have the octagon shape making it hard to drop your weight.

The powerlifting at The Sports Academy is non-existant and the equipment is not targeted well for any power movements. The squat rack is halfway decent. Otherwise it IS a health club and not ideal for a heavy powerlifting workout. It is not a BAD place, but there are def. better in the area. The rest of the facilities there are very nice though.
