This is definitely NOT a powerlifting gym, nor is it a friendly one. I went today because the university gym that I normally train at is closed for the holidays. The university gym is very much a PL-friendly gym when compared to this Gold's. There was no actual rack/cage of any kind. So, good luck without spotters. No chalk is allowed. And I had to scrounge up 45 plates to squat with from far and wide. They seemed to be lacking very many of them... maybe because no one there ever needs them...?
